We Love and Miss You

Victoria Renee Collins

Victoria Renee Collins was born Nov 1, 1979 in Portland to Eddie Collins Jr. and DeEtta Morris-Collins.

She attended Irvington Elementary School, Fernwood Middle School, Benson High School and Oregon State University majoring in sociology. An intelligent woman, her parents instilled the importance of education into her and she achieved a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees.

She also was a strong independent woman who dedicated her life to others whether it be through working various places such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Irvington Grade school, where she taught pre-k and kindergarten; King Elementary School where she trained and worked with others; and participation in the State Teachers Core program. Whatever it was, when she put her mind to wanting to do something, she did it.

She was also passionate, dedicated and loyal to her friends and family. What we loved the most about her is the love she had for her family, the same love that embraces them now.

Victoria is survived by her parents of Portland; brothers Brian Collins of Riverside, Calif. and Edward Mainor of Waco, Texas; aunts Delores Frazier (Billie) of Portland, Elaine Gultry of Portland, Arthelia Coverson of Federal Way, Wash., Darlene Barrett of Seattle, Synetta Morris of Portland and Jackie Morris of Sacramento, Calif.

We love and miss you dearly our beloved Victoria.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. Emmanuel Temple Church, 1033 N. Sumner St. Arrangements are under the direction of Terry Family Funeral Home.
