Smooth Collective: Create, Love, Serve

Keevontye Collier, Owner of Smooth Collective, founded the Portland based streetwear and lifestyle brand in 2016. What began as a creative outlet and a way to build connection and community has grown into a brand rooted in the mantra, “Create, Love, Serve.” Through intentional apparel, storytelling, and collaboration, Smooth Collective uses fashion to celebrate creativity, culture, and community.

Over the past 10 years, Smooth Collective has grown from creating small runs of clothing into offering custom apparel and design services, participating in community events and fashion shows, and building partnerships with local businesses and organizations. The brand offers original streetwear and lifestyle apparel, including T shirts, hoodies, jackets, jerseys, pants, shorts, hats, and accessories. Custom services include embroidery, heat transfer printing, graphic design, apparel design and consultation, and custom merchandise development.

Collier’s inspiration came from a desire to create something that brought people together. As the oldest of 10 siblings, brotherhood and connection have always been important to him. He was also inspired by his father and uncles and the movement they created through NODR.

After stepping away from college and football, creating became an outlet and a new sense of purpose. Smooth Collective began as an effort to build something with his brothers, express himself creatively, and create a community people could feel part of.

Collier began his journey as a maker and designer in 2016 and legitimized the business in 2020. Today, Smooth Collective combines original streetwear with creative services while using its platform to creatively storytell, uplift community, and serve the like minded.
