Blues musician and four-time Grammy Award winner Keb' Mo' returns to Portland for a Friday, Oct. 4 concert at Revolution Hall, the former Washington High School auditorium in southeast Portland. The songwriter, guitarist and contemporary blues artist has cultivated a reputation as a modern master of American roots music. He’s described as a living link to the seminal Delta Blues that travelled up the Mississippi River and across the expanse of America. This year, Keb’ Mo released ‘”Oklahoma,” building on the backbone of the Blues with subjects like depression and love, and current issues like immigration and environmental degradation. Following his 2018 Grammy Award-winning collaboration with Taj Mahal, TajMo, Glide Magazine predicted, “another Grammy awaits,” calling “Oklahoma” the most personal and adventurous album he’s made.
