Victim died in New Year’s Eve shooting

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the New Year’s Eve homicide of Jamere Malik Brown, an 18-year-old who died in a northeast Portland shooting.


The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the New Year’s Eve homicide of Jamere Malik Brown, an 18-year-old who died in a northeast Portland shooting.


On Thursday Dec. 31, 2020, at approximately 10:29 p.m., police responded to Northeast Alberta and Mallory Avenue on the report of two people injured from gunfire. Brown, died as a result of the shooting which officers learned had actually occurred about a mile away, in the area of Northeast Durham and Madrona Street.


Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 cash for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.
