Curtis Dwayne McClure

Celebration of Captain Curt's Life

Curtis was a native of Portland Oregon, he was the fifth child of six to Alvin Gean McClure Sr. and Mayrene McClure. He attended various schools while growing up in the North and Northeast  area. Curtis grew up in a vibrant family and he enjoyed his freedom and life on his terms.  He lived that to the fullest, although Curtis had no children of his own. He was known as Uncle Curtis too.

Whenever anyone ran into him he would always have a story to tell, the latest news break and was very curious about what was going on in person live chatting with. Although live choices often kept him away, when running into him it seemed like we were never apart Curtis enjoyed the Portland Trail Blazers; he was a fan for over 40 years  and  hanging in Dawson Park. Curtis ran his last race on April 27th 2026 he leaves to cherish his memories his brother Alvin Jean McClure Jr wife Debbie McClure and sister parleah Bell Portland Oregon services will be held at Greater Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church 2902 northeast rodney Avenue Portland Oregon 97213.
